Maguto.com - An Open Market Place for Guided Tours

We at Xicom Technologies, the leading web and application Development Company in India, are known for our perfection and quality in each and every project that we undertake. Today we would like to inform our readers about one of our recently completed (Completed 1^st phase) project Maguto.com.

The Client, Sascha Cremer from Hamburg, approached us for the development of his website. He was already working on the design of the website with two designers from Hamburg. The concept looked promising so we accepted the project and started the development. The project was divided into phases and we started with the 1^st phase. Our project managers started an effective communication with the client. After many hours of discussions we came up with an execution plan for the project development. Our project managers at Xicom Technologies made sure that we and the client shared same vision so that the end result would be satisfactory for the client.

The website is planned to serve as an open market for travelers and guides. Travelers can book guides for the location to which they want to travel. The client believes that traveling with a professional guide is more fun and informative. This website would be a platform where travelers and guides could come together, meet and make an arrangement for their requirements. We had to work on the functionality of the website and conversion of the design to HTML. The website has a payment feature where the travelers can make payment to guides for their services. We implemented payment reserve for providing equal control to both travelers and guides. The traveler would make the payment and the guides would have to conform the payment before the transaction can be completed. Once the guides conform the booking the payment is made to their accounts and a booking is marked on their calendar. Guides can view their unconfirmed as well as confirmed bookings after logging in.

The guide module and the tour module have been completed. The travelers review and guides review module will be completed in the second phase. We have finished the first phase and have started working on the second phase. The website is live but bookings have not yet been allowed. The most interesting feature of the website is that the website is multilingual, i.e. it is available in English and German. If the client wants then any language can be added by making few changes and adding some files. Two small clickable flags on the top of the website make this convenient for the client. Our developers have worked hard to achieve the exact vision of the client in the form of a website. Another interesting thing that the website has is that there are no sharp boxes in the website. Each and every corner in the boxes of the website is smooth and curved.

Gushcloud: A Revolutionary Concept Turned Into Reality at Xicom Technologies

We recently completed one of our projects, Gushcloud.com, and would like to tell our readers about it. We were approached by Vincent Ha, CEO and Co-Founder of Gush cloud, over Elance. We have a very strong and impressive presence over Elance and are the only service provider with a 5 star rating on it. We were offered the project and we gladly accepted it as the project had a lot of complexities and challenges for our development teams. Moreover, it was a revolutionary concept and we wanted to make sure that we provided it a fair chance.

We started with project around 4 months ago, starting with the long conversations, discussions and conferences with the client. The designing phase was completed quickly as the Xicom client had some real good concepts of his own. We moved to the more complex parts now and started working on them. The website was supposed to be a social media tool developed for organizations and individuals of any size to promote themselves to their target viewers.

The Concept

The users on the website would be able to share, or gush, about the various brands and products that are available on the Gushcloud.com website. The users will be sharing the links on their social pages such as facebook, twitter and blogs. In return, the users will be rewarded for each gush that they share. Users can create their own Gush Cloud that the other users can share on their social pages. However, there will be a small fee charged against this service. A user can withdraw money from his account once the total amount in his wallet crosses $20 mark. The whole concept is a revolutionary step in the social media marketing field.

Our Role in the Process

Xicom project managers have always proved themselves in the past and they did an even better job in this project. The Smooth and effective communication with the client is the key factor in the successful delivery of this project. The client has been most appreciative of our project management skills. We took one task at a time and did it with full dedication. As the website is for social media therefore we made sure that it was a user friendly site with enough material to attract and retain viewers. Apart from sharing posts the user can also create or complete a survey. The website also has a very user friendly functionality through which the users can easily create surveys. They can decide the number of questions, number of choices for each question and whether the questions are multiple choices or not.

To make sure that no one takes unfair advantage we made sure that a user can share a post only once. Moreover, to provide organizations some security we added functionality that a post should be there on their social page for at least a week for successful money transfer in their wallet. If a user deletes a post before that time then the money will be deducted from his wallet and a mail will be sent to the user for the same. We completed the project around a week ago.

The Present Scene

We launched the Beta version of the website a week ago. The website already has around 3200 users in just one week. We are continuously monitoring the website and conducting rigorous testing for the same. We expect the alpha version to be ready soon. Vincent Ho, the CEO and Co-founder of the company, visited us from Singapore a few weeks before the launch of the website to make sure that everything was perfect at Xicom Technologies head office in New Delhi, India. After staying here for a week and working on the project along with our developers he was fully satisfied. Before leaving back for Singapore, Vincent offered us the iPhone application development project for the same website. We have started working on the iPhone application and the work is on full swing. After seeing the instant popularity of the website Vincent has also asked us to start working on the Android application development for the same. We will soon start the development work for android application.

Agilitycg.com: A project Successfully Completed and Delivered

The client came to Xicom Technologies for redesigning their website. The old design was not appropriate and the client wanted something that would reflect their vision and aim. Lengthy discussions and explaining from the client side (we are really grateful for their patience and support) helped us in understanding their business requirements. Further, we did extensive research about the company and the business domain to which they belonged. We gathered as much information about them as possible from their old website. This helped us in finally coming up with an extensively detailed strategy for the project development. 

XT (Xicom Technologies)  came up with more than a dozen initial designs for the website. As each one was a masterpiece in itself therefore it took some time for the client to finally select one that best represented them. The continuous communication from the project manager was very critical in achieving the desired solution. The client has been most appreciative of our project management skills as he believes that our project management has played the most significant part in the successful delivery of the project. 

After the final design framework for the website was finalized, we started working on giving proper shape to the website. We gave attention to even the minutest details so that we don’t miss out on anything. Constant communication with the client was very helpful in achieving an error free and highly usable solution.

The client was more than satisfied with our services and left us a feedback on Elance. It’s a highly flattering feedback (that’s why we don’t cite it here, we are being modest) that brings a real smile on our faces and makes us proud of our services (Check Xicom Technologies's  Elance profile for more information). We finally delivered a well designed solution to our client that effectively reflected their vision. Although it was just a designing project (we usually don’t accept small and simple projects) but our quality standards for the development were same as they are for any other project.
